Gateshead West Uniform Scheme was founded in 2021. Starting out as a group of parents and grandparents working with the local community to help fight uniform poverty and reduce the number of school uniform items unnecessarily going to landfill. In 2023 we became a formal charity.
We accept good-quality school uniform donations and other school-related items for all Gateshead West schools.
We hold regular markets for families to select the items they require and all of our items are offered on a pay as you feel basis.
